Fashionable Pooches Parade for a Cause This Halloween

THE HAUTE DOG organization is a diverse and growing network of dog owners, lovers, educators, rescuers and supporters.  For nine years the organization has put on the Haute Dog Howl-o-Ween parade in Long Beach California. The world’s largest pet Halloween event includes tons of pet vendors, pet adoption fairs and costume contests for both dogs and kids.m There is even a VIP (Very Important Pooch) entry for the most exclusive of dogs. They will be introduced by the cast of the upcoming movie, Mr. Fox.

  
 
 

So if you are living in the Long Beach area, you should bring your trendy doggies and parade them for all to see this Halloween. It is an awesome cause that helps kids and dogs nationwide and a great way for your cool pooch to meet some friends. Pet Head is Heading to the Windy City

That's right! We are going to Chicago to show off our super cool pet grooming products, only cool for dogs, at HH Backer's 43rd Annual Pet Industry Christmas Trade SHow. HH Backer has played an integral part in the pet industry with its trade shows, magazines and continued support. If you plan on attending Backer visit Pet Head at booth # 3834.

Pet head will be showcasing six variations of brushes sure to tame any dog's mane no matter how windy the city. The colorful line of brushed includes the Primpin' Comb, Detangling Porcupine Brush, So Cool Combo Brush, Undercoat Rake, Super Slicker Brush, and Fabulous Pin Brush.

In addition to the brushes, Pet Head will feature color styling gel- a temporary, safe and non staining hair color for dogs. The gel is available in four cool colors: Growlin' Green, Barkin' Blue, Punkd' Pooch Purple and Woofilicous Pink to give any dog the super cool edge they need.

Phetched.com, a great dog blog that tracks down the coolest dog products, is hosting a bad hair day photo contest sponsored by Pet Head!

If you have some great photos of your dirty pooch,visit Phetched.com to see how you can enter your photos to win the bad hair day photo contest. The contest winner will receive a prize pack from Pet Head worth over $45.

Contest Details:

1.) Photos must be of a dog (dogs), must be your property, and must be taken by you or a member of your household. Photos should fit the themes "Bad Hair Day" or "Dirty Dog."

2.) Email your photos to phetchedblog@gmail.com. Please use your pup's name as the title of your photo, and include your full name in the body of the email message.

3.) All images must be at least 500 pixels wide.

4.) You may enter as many photos as you like.

5.) Deadline for photo entries is Sunday, September 6th, 2009, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific time.

On Wednesday, September 9th, we'll announce four finalists (chosen by phetched.com and Pet Head representative). Readers will then vote on a winner, who will receive an awesome Pet Head prize pack!

Paws for Style

Animal Fair Magazine's 10th Annual Paws for Style benefiting the Humane Society of New York will be held on July 27, 2009 at the M2 Ultra Lounge in New York City.

Animal Fair's chief pet officer and creator of "Paws for Style" Wendy Diamond will host the event, with her Maltese, Luck, as well as Valerie Diker, Emily Ford and Frances Hayward along with all of their pets. The unique fashion show will feature celebrities dressed in famous designer clothing, with matching outfits for their dog or cat. After the evening is over, the one-of-a-kind celebrity and pet outfits are auctioned off on Ebay with proceeds going to the Humane Society of New York.

Some of the world-famous designers attending this year are Oscar De La Renta, Roberto Cavalli, Keith Lissner, Carolena Herrera, Nina Ricci, Adam Lippes, Marc Bouwer, John Varvatos, and many others.
